Disposition Notes
Maintaining all economic growth data is vital for evaluating economic growth trends of TN businesses, particularly those in the automotive industry and foreign-owned operations. In 2013, ECD Research's growth data was highlighted by the Brookings Institute in their TN Automotive Industry Drive report that showcased TN's job and investment creation in the automotive industry from 1980 (Nissan Smyrna plant announcement) until the present. Without the key historical job creation and investment data in the a lot of this key economic analysis cannot be performed. Once this RDA is approved Economic Growth database this data base will be copied to a delimited text file for a backup to a highly confident format. This will be continually done every calendar year as well. Records are maintained electronically on the Economic Growth Access database permanently in agency.
