System Location
The current State FileNet environment is an on-premise solution with all servers and data residing at the Data Center North and Data Center South.
Backup Procedures
FileNet is using our STS File Level Storage (NAS – EMC Isilon) Technology. The EMC Isilon (NAS – File Level Storage) technology performs daily snapshots for a period of 31 days. The file level storage technology (NAS – EMC Isilon) does replicate the 31 days of snapshots between data centers. Since all file level storage snapshots are kept local to the technology for 31 days this creates a much faster data restore process. The FileNet file level storage is using the STS Enterprise Backup Solution to perform a monthly backup and the monthly backup is stored on our long-term retention solution called ECS (Elastic Cloud Storage). The FileNet monthly backup will be stored on our ECS solution for seven years. The ECS solution does replicate between our data centers daily
Disaster Recovery
FileNet data is stored until deleted by user or we delete the stored data per request. All backups are kept for 7 years. Data is replicated between the two datacenters in the event that a failover is needed
