Maintain files for five years after reclamation and/or litigation is completed, and then microfilm. Hard copy records are to be destroyed upon verification of microfilm. Transfer original microfilm to State Records Center for permanent retention. Duplicate microfilm is to be maintained by surface mining for 50 years, and then destroy. Maps and blueprints are to be maintaining in their original format permanently.
